Receipts, contracts and documents

Every receipt comes from a confirmed payment, never from a blank form. Store the signed contract with its data, and keep a record that survives move-out.

From confirmation to receipt

The starting point is always the confirmed payment flow.

1

Payment confirmed

You confirm a payment made by bank transfer or cash.

2

Receipt generated

A PDF receipt is created from the payment record — amount, period, tenant and date, no manual entry.

3

Tenant finds it

The receipt appears in the tenant’s app, archived by month and by tenant.

What’s included

🧾

Receipts from the payment record

Each receipt pulls amount, period, tenant and date from the confirmed payment. Nothing is typed by hand, for bank transfer or cash.

🌍

Receipts in the property’s language

Each receipt is issued in the language of the country the property is in: keep the interface in English for a flat in Spain and your tenant receives a Spanish receipt. Italian, English, Spanish, German and French are available.

📝

Contract data and signed PDF

Record room, rent, start and end date, deposit and contract type against each tenancy, and upload the signed contract alongside as PDF, JPEG or PNG. The type you record drives the deadlines linked to that tenancy.

📂

Per-document visibility

Choose who sees a document when you upload it: the whole house, or a single tenant. Receipts are always visible only to the tenant concerned.

🔒

An archive that survives move-out

Contracts, receipts and documents stay attached to the tenancy they belong to, and remain available to both sides after the tenant leaves.

Free online receipt generator

A standalone receipt generator is available with no account needed, for a one-off receipt outside the app.

Who sees what

Receipts are generated inside Plinthos. Everything else you upload, choosing who can see it as you go: the whole house sees the house rules, each tenant sees only their own contract.

Bill-share receipt The confirmed share You and the tenant concerned

Where documents live

Contracts, receipts and uploaded documents stay attached to the tenancy they belong to.

That history remains after move-out, for both you and the tenant — no separate archive to search. At year end, confirmed payments feed the summary covered in expenses and taxes.

FAQ

Questions

Do I get a receipt for cash payments?
Yes. Once you confirm a cash payment, the receipt is generated the same way as for a bank transfer, from the payment record itself.
Can Plinthos write my rental contract?
No. Plinthos manages the contract you have already signed: you upload it as a PDF, JPEG or PNG and record room, rent, dates, deposit and contract type against the tenancy. The document and its data stay together, and the deadlines follow from the type you record.
What contract types can I record?
The list comes from the country set on your profile, so you see the types used where you rent. A free-text field covers anything the list does not include. The type you record drives the deadlines linked to that tenancy.
Who can see a document I upload?
You choose at upload time: the whole house, or a single tenant. Receipts are always restricted to the tenant they concern.
Can I download everything at year end?
Confirmed payments feed a yearly summary you can hand to your accountant.
I use Plinthos in English. What language is my tenant’s receipt in?
The receipt follows the country of the property, so a flat in Germany produces a German receipt while your interface stays in English. Italian, English, Spanish, German and French are supported. The yearly summary follows the same rule.
