What is Plinthos?
Plinthos is an app for landlords who rent rooms to students and workers. It lets you manage payments, bills, contracts and communication with tenants from a single platform.
Does the tenant have to pay?
No. The tenant account is completely free, forever, with no limits. The tenant downloads the app, enters the landlord's invite code and connects to their room.
How does the free trial work?
You get 14 days to try all features without entering a credit card. After that, the app switches to read-only mode — your data stays safe and tenants continue to work normally.
Is my data safe?
Data is hosted on EU servers (Frankfurt), encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We comply with GDPR: you can export or delete your data at any time from settings.
Can I manage double and triple rooms?
Yes. Each room can be single, double or triple. You can set rent per bed or per room, with automatic recalculation when occupancy changes.
How does bill splitting work?
You can split equally, by room square meters, by days of stay or with custom amounts. Rounding is handled automatically — the total always adds up.
